D-man Walby adds to college commitments

Braxton Walby (98) was a late addition to the Seahawks roster joining the team right after thanksgiving from an usphl team. He finished the season with 22 games played and 6 points from the blue line. Walby paired well with assistant captain Ouellet as a stay at home, simple plays D pair. they combined for 13 points from the back end.

Walby is a true definition of team guy, always excited for the boys to succeed on and off the ice, along with the high energy he brought it was easy to see why guys gravitate to him.

Braxton was a good addition stated coach Zaniboni, " Brax played in a lot of different spots as we feel its important to reward players for the work they bring, he adjusted nicely to the speed and his reads continued to get better every game. I am excited to see Braxton so excited about his opportunity at Lindenwood for the 18-19 season, and wish him and his family nothing but the best and well wishes on the next venture.

Braxton had this to say:

"I would like to thank my family, friends, and teammates for supporting me and giving me the opportunity to pursue college hockey. A big thank you to the Seahawks Organization, and I would also like to point out Coach Zaniboni for helping me develop as a player and person."

GO LIONS!
